Typical appearance of a cerebriform connective tissue nevus with marked thickening and folding of the dermis at the sole of the foot, resembling brain gyri. Note also several ectacic deep veins in the plantar foot.
Case Discussion
Cerebriform connective tissue nevi, or simply cerebriform nevi, can occur in different locations, but when located on the sole of the foot, they are highly suggestive of Proteus syndrome.
