Intermittent painless vaginal bleeding.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

Cervical mass with elevated T2 signal and water restriction on DWI images encircling the external cervical os that extends into the upper anterior vagina

Focal disruptions of the low signal cervical stroma on the left and right posterolateral walls, a sign of parametrial invasion.


Cervix mass histopathological study was compatible with cervix squamous cell carcinoma.

Case Discussion

In the recent case with cervical mass with regarding the imaging findings, stage IIB of cervical cancer is considered according to FIGO system staging.

The histopathology report after the biopsy of the cervical mass was compatible with squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix.
