Cervical cystic lymphangioma

Presentation

Slowly progressive painless soft tissue swelling in the left upper neck for five months.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female

Large and relatively ill-defined cystic multilocular mass-like lesion containing intermediate density fluid within submandibular gland expanded the gland and largely extended within left side sublingual space and prestyloid parapharyngeal space is seen. The lesion has no obvious enhancement and no solid part. Extension of the lesion within the mylohyoid muscle and anterior belly of the digastric muscle is also noted.

Case Discussion

This is a rare case of the chylous aspiration-proved submandibular gland and sublingual space cystic lymphangioma occurring in an adult female extended within prestyloid parapharyngeal space.
