Case Discussion

Identifying additional ribs like cervical rib is important as they compromise the normal interval space in the interscalene triangle through which the brachial plexus roots/trunks traverse. These patients may present with sensory, motor or mixed symptoms that vary with posture, whilst in some patients they may remain totally asymptomatic.
