CEUS appearance of Bosniak renal cystic masses (illustrations)

Images depict in order:

  1. Bosniak 1 simple cyst - complete absence of signal. 
  2. Bosniak 2 cyst - bright band-like septal signal which corresponds to a thick, calcific septum on the B-mode-like image. No true vascularity. 
  3. Bosniak 2F - faint, equivocal microbubble influx (original image)
  4. Bosniak 3 - clear septal vascularity and wall irregularity
  5. Bosniak 4 - marked septal enhancement and internal enhancing nodular foci.
