Presentation

Fall backwards from a ladder 2 meters onto concrete.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male
ct

T11, 3 column Chance fracture is demonstrated with approximately 20% of anterior vertebral body height loss.

The fracture line extends through both pedicles into the laminae. No evidence of bony retropulsion into the central canal. No widening of the facet joints. The left anterolateral T11 vertebral body fracture component extends into the T11/T12 intervertebral disc space with impression of minor widening of the intervertebral disc space anteriorly. Small surrounding paraspinal hematoma.
