Case contributed by Mohammad Taghi Niknejad
Diagnosis certain

Presentation

Trauma.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

An intra-articular fracture of the radial styloid process is demonstrated, involving only the very tip of the styloid without displacement.

The ulnar styloid and the carpal bones are intact, and the scapholunate interval and alignment of the carpus appear unremarkable.

Degenerative changes are seen at the first metatarsophalangeal joint.

Case Discussion

Features are consistent with Chauffeur fracture, an intra-articular fracture of the radial styloid process that may be associated with scapholunate dissociationtrans-scaphoid perilunate dislocation, and ulnar styloid fracture.
