Case Discussion

This case shows some typical findings seen in Chiari II malformations on antenatal ultrasound. There is a lemon-shaped skull and banana-shaped cerebellum with obliteration of cisterna manga associated with dilatation of the lateral ventricles. On coronal image, inferior displacement of the brainstem through the foramen magnum can also be appreciated. A defect in the skin was noted in lumber spin with splaying of the posterior elements/ spinal dysraphism.
