Presentation
Signs of raised intracranial pressure with decreased vision.
Patient Data
The MRI sequences demonstrate a lobulated suprasellar soft tissue mass centered on the optic chiasma and hypothalamic region with extension to the interpeduncular cistern and anterior portion of the 3rd ventricle. It displays a low signal on T1, high signal T2 with heterogeneous enhancement on postcontrast sequences. Significant obstructive hydrocephalus is noted.
Case Discussion
MRI features of a suprasellar soft tissue mass centered on the optic chiasma and hypothalamic region suggestive of chiasmatic/hypothalamic glioma with secondary obstructive hydrocephalus.
