From the scout abnormal air under the right copula that could be misinterpreted as pneumoperitoneum.
CT demonstrates abnormal colonic interposition between the liver and the right diaphragm Chilaiditi sign. Incidental finding of left cortical renal cysts.
Case Discussion
Chilaiditi sign may be asymptomatic or it may be accompanied by abdominal symptoms, ranging from mild abdominal discomfort to acute intestinal obstruction. It is termed Chilaiditi syndrome when symptomatic.
