Chilaiditi sign

There is interposition of a loop of large intestine (usually transverse colon) in between the diaphragm and the liver. This is known as Chilaiditi sign.
Case Discussion
Chilaiditi sign is quite frequently visible on plain abdominal x-rays or chest x-ray as an incidental finding in asymptomatic people. If the patient is reporting pain, then it is termed Chilaiditi syndrome.
