Right upper quadrant pain.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male
mri

Intra and extra hepatic bile ducts are dilated, and CBD measured 15 mm in caliber. An 11mm low signal filling defect is noted in the distal of CBD inferring stone.

Case Discussion

MRCP has largely replaced ERCP for diagnosing choledocholithiasis, achieving similar sensitivity and specificity without ionizing radiation, intravenous contrast, or the complication rate inherent in ERCP.
