A middle-aged female presented with gradually increasing swelling over the right upper thigh

Radiographs of the pelvis showing a large exophytic growth arising from right iliac bone with chondroid matrix.

Case Discussion

Chondrosarcoma is a cartilaginous origin tumor which typically arises in adult patients, and pelvic involvement is not uncommon.

This case, which likely arose from an osteochondroma, shows the characteristic "rings and arcs" pattern of calcification.
