A small hypoenhancing area is noted at the left side of the pituitary gland at the delayed postcontrast sequence averaging 5 mm. It appears hypointense on T1 and isointense on T2. Associated mild thickening of the pituitary stalk.
A right-sided choroid fissure cyst is noted.
Case Discussion
In the setting of hyperprolactinemia, the hypoenhancing small pituitary lesion is suggestive of a pituitary microadenoma.
Choroid fissure cyst is usually an incidental finding on brain imaging.
