Age: 10 years
Gender: Male

There is a small rounded well-defined fatty-density lesion (density = -77 HU) within the trigone of the left lateral ventricle.

No other cerebral abnormality is seen.

Case Discussion

CT feature of a small fatty-density lesion within the trigone of the left lateral ventricle most consistent of a choroid plexus lipoma (incidental finding in this case).

Choroid plexus lipoma can occur in all age groups with a prevalence of 0.45%. Most patients are asymptomatic and the lipoma is discovered incidentally. Generally, treatment is not required.
