Brain MRI demonstrates a multilobulated fourth ventricular mass with cystic changes. The mass is isointense to gray matter on T1WIs, iso to hypointense on T2WIs and demonstrates avid enhancement on post contrast sequences.

The patient went on to have a posterior fossa craniotomy and excision of the mass. This confirmed a choroid plexus papilloma.

Case Discussion

This is a case of pathologically proven choroid plexus papilloma. This case illustrates typical appearances of a choroid plexus papilloma in a child, although the location within the 4th ventricle is more characteristic of adult CPP. In children, it most frequently arises in the trigone of the lateral ventricles.
