Presentation

Accidental finding in patient with head trauma

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male

Bilateral chronic subdural hematoma associated with bilateral trephine holes. Bilateral choroid plexus isodense lesions with rim of peripheral calcification is demonstrated at both occipital horns corresponding to choroid plexus xanthogranulomatous cyst.

Case Discussion

Choroid plexus xanthogranulomatous cyst is non-neoplastic, non-inflammatory cyst, usually discovered accidentally on a routine head examination. In a few cases, they may present with a headache.
