Chronic dislocation of prosthetic ulnar head

Presentation

Chronic pain, 1 year post op.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Female

Distal ulnar arthroplasty. Dorsal dislocation at the distal radioulnar joint.

Significant degenerative osteoarthritis at the first carpometacarpal joint, proximal and distal interphalangeal joints.

Case Discussion

The patient had an ulnar head arthroplasty 1 year earlier for severe osteoarthritis, and unfortunately had suffered chronic pain ever since the procedure due to chronic dislocation.
