Tympanic membrane thickening and retraction.
No bony erosion.
Intact scutum, ossicles and tegmen tympani.

Chronic otomastoiditis (COM) is considered as a persistent or recurrent inflammation of the middle ear and mastoid air cells lasting for a minimum of 12 weeks.
