Presentation

Chronic bilateral ear pain, and discharge from two years ago.

Patient Data

Age: 10 years
Gender: Male

Partially opacification of the middle ears cleft and mastoid air cells with soft tissue density.
Tympanic membrane thickening and retraction.

No bony erosion. 

Intact scutum, ossicles and tegmen tympani.

Chronic otomastoiditis is considered as a persistent or recurrent inflammation of the middle ear and mastoid air cells lasting for a minimum of 12 weeks.
