Presentation

Severe chronic abdominal pain. The previous medical history was unremarkable.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

CT scan reveals innumerable coarse calcifications throughout the pancreas associated with dilatation of main pancreatic duct.

Case Discussion

This CT finding is indicative of idiopathic chronic pancreatitis. There is no underlying cause in this case and ethiology in this case is unknown.
