Large defects of the rotator cuff with retraction of the supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendons and severe muscular atrophy. High-riding humeral head contacting the under-surface of the acromion leading to osteoarthritis. Signal voids within the effusion (secondary osteochondromatosis).
