Hypodence crescent shape hematoma overlying and compressing the left hemisphere. Thin slightly hyperdense membranes paralleling the skull vault and cerebrum also are seen.
Case Discussion
The main differential, in this case, is that of a subdural hygroma. Slight hypodensity and the presence of thin slightly hyperdense membranes paralleling the skull vault and cerebrum favor a chronic subdural hematoma.
