Presentation
Diagnosed case of small cell lung cancer, operated, under follow up.
Patient Data

Circumaortic left renal vein and two left renal arteries are noted.
Bilateral varying size simple renal cortical cysts are seen.
Case Discussion
Circumaortic left renal vein, also known as a circumaortic renal collar, is an anomaly of the left renal vein when a supernumerary or accessory left renal vein passes posterior to the aorta, in addition to the normal renal vein passing anterior to the aorta. This anomaly is potentially hazardous if unrecognised during retroperitoneal surgery. The incidence of the circumaortic renal vein is reported to be ~10% (range 2-17%), and double renal arteries ~ 20% (range 14-23%).
