Fracture through the midshaft of the left clavicle with inferior displacement of the distal fragment. There is approximately 3cm of overlap of the fracture fragments. Tenting of the overlying skin due to the fracture.
Case Discussion
Clavicle fractures most commonly occur near the junction of the middle and out third of the clavicle. Indications for surgical fixation of fractures include >2 cm of overlap, marked displacement of the fracture fragments, and tenting of the overlying skin.
