Fracture of the middle third of the right clavicle diaphysis with marked displacement.
No hemo-pneumothoraces, pulmonary contusions or airspace opacification.
No pleural effusions.
No hilar or mediastinal lymphadenopathy.
Normal cardiac index and pulmonary vasculature.
Case Discussion
Clavicle fractures are common, accounting for 5% of all fractures, especially with high-impact trauma. 50% occur in children under the age of 10 years old.
Nonunion is rare (1-4% of cases); more likely to occur with unstable distal clavicle or poorly immobilized fracture Posttraumatic osteoarthritis is common in type III distal clavicle fractures
