CNS lymphoma

Presentation

Two month history of headaches, ataxia, weakness, nausea, and vomiting

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

There is mass-like area of enhancement and restricted diffusion centered within the left corona radiata. There is edema throughout the corona radiata with extension of T2/FLAIR hyperintense signal in the centrum semiovale superiorly and cerebellum/midbrain inferiorly. There is effacement of the left lateral ventricle.

Case Discussion

This is a case of diffuse large B-cell CNS lymphoma diagnosed via stereotactic brain biopsy.

She completed 5 rounds of chemotherapy followed by consolidative therapy. A surveillance MRI following chemotherapy revealed recurrent disease.
