Tight focal stenosis of the descending thoracic aorta (about 2 cm distal to the origin of the left subclavian artery).
Mild post-stenotic dilatation.
Discrepancy between ascending and descending aorta (ectatic ascending aorta, proximal aortic arch and its branches).
Extensive network of vascular collaterals (internal mammary, intercostal, subscapular and prevertebral arteries) providing arterial supply to the lower body.
