Presentation
Follow up after left subclavian artery to descending thoracic aorta bypass surgery.
Patient Data

Patent arterial graft is noted connecting the left subclavian artery to the descending thoracic aorta bypassing focal aortic interruption distal to the origin of the left subclavian artery with consequent enlarged internal mammary arteries.
Case Discussion
This case demonstrates short segment severe aortic coarctation, corrected surgically with bypass surgery. Aortic coarctation is a well known congenital cardiac disease which is generally treated during childhood.
There are various surgical techniques for the treatment of aortic coarctation and left subclavian artery to descending thoracic aorta extra-anatomical bypass procedure is among these reliable methods with a successful outcome.
