Axial non-contrast
An anterior approach, percutaneous CT guided celiac plexus block, with needles placed on either side of the celiac trunk, using 99% alcohol mixed with contrast was performed in this patient with significant relief of pain and reduction in the dosage of analgesics.
Case Discussion
Celiac plexus block under CT guidance is an easy and safely performed procedure with a high success and low complication rates for pain palliation in patients who have chronic abdominal pain related to celiac ganglia.
