Collateral circulation following left renal vein thrombosis

The renal vein is replaced by a fibrotic strand crossing the aorta. There are abundant collaterals draining into the lumbar veins at L1 and L5, and into the left common iliac vein. Left nephrolithiasis probably accounts for hematuria.
Case Discussion
Left renal vein occlusion, most probably resulting from an old thrombosis without recanalization.
