The MRI sequences demonstrate a well-defined ovoid lesion (19x15x13 mm) at the roof of the third ventricle, of high signal on T1WI/T2WI and FLAIR with no restricted diffusion, obstructing the foramen of Monro with dilatation of the lateral ventricles and periventricular interstitial edema indicating obstructive hydrocephalus.
Case Discussion
MRI features are most consistent with a colloid cyst of the 3rd ventricle with obstructive hydrocephalus.
