Patient Data

Age: 75
Gender: Male

Well defined, rounded, hyperdense lesion (~ 75 HU) at the roof of the 3rd ventilcle - the typical apearance of a colloid cyst.

Case Discussion

Colloid cysts account for 0.5 - 3% of primary brain tumors and 15 - 20% of intraventricular masses 1-3.  They are located at the foramen of Monro in 99% of cases 1.
