Colloid cyst of the third ventricle

A well-defined hyperdense homogenous focus with axial width up to 12 x 10 mm in the upper anterior margin of the third ventricle interposed the foramen of Monro and anterior inferior margin of the fornix is seen. Dilated frontal horns and lateral ventricles body are noted.
Case Discussion
The case illustrates the non-contrast MDCT features of the colloid cyst of the third ventricle. The cyst can slowly and progressively enlarge and also lead to hydrocephalus.
