Case Discussion

Most of the colloid cysts are asymptomatic. In this case, its obstructing foramen of monro due to its size resulting in obstructive hydrocephalus. Colloid cyst risk score acts as a prognostic predictor of the risks associated with this lesion such as obstructive hydrocephalus. Hypointense signal on T2 signifies thick viscous content which is difficult to aspirate through stereotactic guidance. When large and/or symptomatic the decision to operate is relatively straightforward, as it can be life-saving.
