There is a well-defined round, abnormal signal intensity mass lesion at the level of foramen of Monro measuring approximately 2.4 x 2 x 2 cm. The lesion returns low signal on T2W, high signal on T1W without diffusion restriction or post-contrast enhancement. This lesion results in obstruction of the foramen of Monro with resultant marked chronic dilatation of lateral ventricles.
Case Discussion
The features are consistent with colloid cyst of the third ventricle.
