Case Discussion

Colloid cysts are benign intracranial tumors usually occurring in the front part of the third ventricle in proximity to the foramina of Monro.

Clinical presentation may be non-specific and heterogeneous; commonly these cysts cause the development of hydrocephalus.

In some cases, the third ventricular colloid cysts can reach a large sizes developing above the roof of the third ventricle, and pose some challenges during endoscopic excision.
