Presentation

Patient with abdominal pain and fever. Previous left hemicolectomy.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male

CT abdomen with intravenous contrast and gastrografin enema

Large fluid collection with gas anterior to the colorectal anastomosis, above the bladder, extending to the lower abdominal wall, in the soft tissues of the hypogastric region.

After transrectal gastrografin one can appreciate a long and thin fistula that goes up into the subcutaneous plane.
