Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Female

Diffuse but mild circumferential increased wall thickness with loss of the haustration is present at the colon, consistent with pan-colitis. Additionally, focal asymmetrical increased wall thickness is noted in the distal descending colon, accompanied by exaggerated pericolic fat stranding.

Several prominent mesenteric lymph nodes are seen.

Case Discussion

The patient went to have a further colonoscopic evaluation, and histopathology evaluation confirmed distal descending colon adenocarcinoma in a background of ulcerative pan-colitis.
