Abdominal pain and chronic constipation.
Patient Data
Increased wall thickness is noted at ascending colon accompanied by pericolic fat stranding and a few regional lymphadenopathies.
Two 17 mm and 16 mm masses are noted at 7th and 5th hepatic segments respectively which show peripheral nodular enhancement and centripetal filling. There is another 20 mm low enhancing mass at 5th segment.
A 34 mm cortical cyst is seen at left kidney.
The prostate gland is enlarged.
A few small stones are seen at urinary bladder.
Case Discussion
Colon mass; pathology proven adenocarcinoma, with regional lymphadenopathies.
Two of hepatic masses show enhancement pattern typical for hemangioma another mass is suspicious to metastasis.
Colorectal cancers can be found anywhere from the cecum to the rectum. The cecum and ascending colon are involved in approxmiately 20% of cases.
