Presentation

Change in bowel habit few months ago.

Patient Data

Age: 85 years
Gender: Male

Mass-like lesion in the topography of the left colon, close to the splenic curvature. The lesion is solid (internal vascularization on Doppler).

Colonic segmental circumferential wall thickening at the level of splenic flexure.

Case Discussion

Patient with changes in bowel habit, demonstrating, on ultrasound, a solid lesion in the topography of the descending colon, which was investigated by computed tomography, which confirmed the presence of the lesion.

The patient underwent surgery, whose pathological diagnosis showed adenocarcinoma well differentiated from the descending colon, appearing in tubulovillous adenoma with high-grade dysplasia and foci of intramucosal carcinoma.
