Colon cancer with calcified liver metastasis

Presentation

Known case of cancer colon with resection of the tumor two years back, came with severe back pain after trauma.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Male

Study done for lumbar spine

There are two calcified hepatic focal lesions.

There are pancreatic calcifications.

Surgical clips of cholecystectomy noted.

There are bilateral basal lung nodules.

Bilateral multiple renal cysts are noted.

Study two years back

Circumferential wall thickening of the proximal part of the ascending colon measures about 8 cm giving picture of apple core appearance.

Few enlarged regional lymph nodes.

Few small hypodense hepatic focal lesions.

Scattered calcification of pancreas.

Bilateral multiple renal cysts are noted.

Case Discussion

The focal calcified lesions of the liver with the history of colorectal adenocarcinoma suggesting that these lesions are of metastatic origin.
