Colonic diverticulosis

A subtle, localized increase of wall thickness is visible in the left hemi-colon. Several thin-walled, air-filled outpouchings are also visible, an example of which is shown in the cine loop.
Case Discussion
The case demonstrates uncomplicated diverticulosis, which can be in ideal circumstances readily visualized by US, especially if patient anatomy allows the use of high frequency linear array probe. Subsequent colonoscopy verified diverticulosis, without further pathology.
