Kitesurfer. Pulled by kite to the beach and hit concrete bollard with knee. CT for operative planning.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male

Displaced, comminuted patellar fracture.

C 3.3 fracture according to AO classification.

Large haemarthros in the suprapatellar recess.

Case Discussion

Complex fractures of the patella might need CT evaluation for operative planning and to rule out additional bony injuries.
