Diffuse white matter hypo densities in both cerebral hemispheres.
Dilatation of the ventricular system without any obstructive lesion.
The brain stem and cerebellum are unremarkable.
No abnormal post contrast enhancement.
The features are suggestive of metachromatic leukodystrophy with communicating hydrocephalus.
A similar case is reported by Jay Desai and John Grimm in MRI1.
