Presentation
Another in a series of "snapshots" of thyroid ultrasound. All cases are FNA correlated.
Patient Data
Age: 60 years
Gender: Male
From the case:
Complete halo sign of thyroid nodule (ultrasound)

A solid homogeneous nodule in the right lobe of the thyroid with a complete hypoechoic halo.
Case Discussion
The teaching point, in this case, is to demonstrate what an intact halo looks like. Look at case 21888 for a comparison of an incomplete "disappearing" halo.
This is a finding that needs to be present in all orientations of imaging around the whole lesion. Its favors benign cytology as an isolated finding.
