Posterior anterior projection, the aortic arch and cardiac silhouette are projected on the right side, gastric bubble is also seen on the right side. Breast implants are also visualized.

On CT the liver and the spleen are inverted, the inferior vena cava runs on the left side and the abdominal aorta on the right side. Ascending and descending colon are also inverted

Case Discussion

Situs inversus is a term used to describe the inverted position of chest and abdominal organs. It is called situs inversus totalis when there is a total transposition of abdominal and thoracic viscera (mirror image of internal organs normal positioning).
