Severe comminuted fracture of the proximal tibial diaphysis, metaphysis and epiphysis with lipohemarthrosis and a butterfly fragment. Posterior displacement of the distal fragment. Avulsion fracture of the fibular head and oblique fracture of the proximal fibular diaphysis.

3D renderings from CT scan better demonstrate the complex fracture anatomy, notably the intra-articular extension and fibular head avulsion fracture.
Case Discussion
An impressive case of a complex comminuted fracture of the proximal tibia and fibula.
