There are complete tears of the medial collateral ligament (MCL), remarkable joint fluid, bruises and fracture lines in the lateral tibial plate and head of the fibula, edema in the infrapatellar fat pad, and anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) avulsion fracture.
Case Discussion
The case illustrates concomitance of the complete tear of the medial collateral ligament (MCL) and anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) avulsion fracture type 2 according to Meyers and McKeevers classification, the ligaments which are major stabilizers of the knee joint and also are the most commonly injured ligaments in the knee joint.
