Tympanic membrane retraction on examination.

Age: 4
Gender: Male

Centered behind the pars tensa of the tympanic membrane within the mesotympanum is a rounded soft-tissue density mass consistent with a congenital cholesteatoma.

Case Discussion

Features here are consistent with the clinically suspected congenital cholesteatoma which was confirmed surgically and pathologically.
